Return

A pelisse is a woman's cloak with armholes or sleeves, made of many materials such as muslin to thick wool, of variable length between knee to ankle, may have collar, cape or sleeve. This is an accurate reconstruction of one of Jane Austen's pelisse, 1812-1814. It is twilled brown silk sarsenet (a fine, soft silk), with gold falling-leaf design.
